Our mission
With BEHIND MIRRORS – THE BEAUTY OF UNDERGROUND ART we want to bring unconventional artwork of different styles and forms into your home. For this, we collaborate with often still unknown, up-and-coming artists. We give them a platform to present their artworks and sell them as prints and posters in different sizes.
ABOUT USUnderground Artists
Stories and origins of our artists are as diverse as their styles. For example Merve, who realized her dream and opened her own tattoo studio in Berlin. So you can find her anime/manga art not only on skin, but also digitally drawn. Or Lukas, a graphic designer from Dessau with a passion for cartoons, which he also animates. Ashraf, on the other hand, comes from Aleppo/Berlin. His mixed media art has helped him primarily as an anchor alongside his work as a project manager of emergency education programs. Keiko from Hiroshima wants to help people in need of care with her photography.
UNDERGROUND ART
This and much more underground art is created every day in our neighborhoods, in neighborhoods across Europe and the world. Whether digital art on a tablet or analog in a sketchbook, artists and art are often moving beyond convention. Visionary and independent of genre, they usually move outside the channels and galleries of pop art.
BEHIND MIRRORS discovers this art for and with you. The ones you see and the ones you do NOT see yet: artwork and artists off the mainstream. We offer you our UNDERGROUND ART as high-quality prints and posters in various formats. Whether 21×29,7 cm over 50×70 cm up to 70×100 cm, Artwork as a discreet addition to your very personal interior style or as the star of your home.
2GETHER
From the sale of the artwork, our artists and we want to give something back through our approach “2GETHER”. To do this, our artists each choose a social project that they are happy to support. Therefore, the artists donate a portion of each sale to their chosen project – BEHIND MIRRORS doubles this amount. Learn more about the projects that are currently supported.
